Upgrade of Network Architecture from Legacy to Modern Software Design
Business Problem
We were working with a leading agency of the Department of Homeland Security, and their network technology and topology had not been upgraded in the last 15 years. The result was that the network performance had degraded considerably, with network lag and downtime that was not acceptable from a performance perspective.

Our Solution and Team Accomplishments
The previous network architecture was based on legacy architecture. Our team created a new fault-tolerant and upgraded design based on Cloud and OnPrem based SDWAN, MPLS-based and Internet-based SD-WAN based solutions. SMEs evaluated, implemented and optimized the DHS Hybrid Compute Environment (HCE), Cloud based and Colocation facilities. The team worked with component network architecture teams to create Common Criteria to reuse these principles across the enterprise to provide increased efficiency, improved security, and cost savings. We deployed Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) approaches for AI operations, self-healing networks, anomaly detection, networking domain, including Network Function Virtualization (NFV), AI/ML techniques for network design and management and network automation.
Business Outcome
Increased efficiency, improved security and cost savings while creating a fault tolerant network.
